Kicking off the series is Luca Nichetto, an Italian industrial designer known for his refined, detail-oriented designs that merge Italian craftsmanship with Scandinavian simplicity and founding @nichettostudio, with offices in Sweden and Italy. Using only a pen, here are his responses.
Luca Nichetto, born in 1976 in Venice, studied at the Art Institute and later earned a degree in Industrial Design from IUAV. He began his career in 1999, designing Murano glass for Salviati and collaborating with Foscarini on product design and material research. In 2006, he founded Nichetto&Partners, a design consultancy specialising in industrial design, and expanded with an office in Stockholm in 2011. Throughout his career, he has won numerous international awards, including the Gran Design Award and the Good Design Award. His work has been showcased in exhibitions across Europe, the U.S, and Japan, with retrospective shows in major cities like Venice, London, Paris, and Stockholm. He has also served as an art director and jury member for global design events. Today, he collaborates with a range of prestigious Italian and international brands, including Moroso, Foscarini, Established & Sons, and Venini.
